PagePlus 11 Gets Good Review |

 I don't use PagePlus much myself, as most of the design work I do is for the web; but occaisinally I have to make a greeting card or a flyer and I do a mass production once a year of two-sided, laminated 'flip' cards for the youth and varsity football teams. The cards have a team's schedule on the front side and the roster of players, coaches and cheerleaders on the 'flip' side. I have my layouts saved for both the front and back and a printing format set up for each side so that its pretty simple to paste in the text edits from year to year without having to redesign from scratch every year. I'm still using PagePlus 9, but it sounds like its time for an upgrade...although I can't imagine the program being much better.
Elisabetta Bruno is sr. associate editor and founding member of designorati.com, "a site of information and interaction, where creative minds can find all they need in one place". Ms. Bruno has written a favorable review of PagePlus 11 that is definitely worth checking out. Although some won't agree with all of Ms. Bruno's findings, she has obviously put the program to a fair test and has done a good job of illustrating and documenting the results. More good press for PP11 came recently from PC Pro magazine.
The detailed review started by saying the program was a pleasure to use and learn and ended by recommending businesses to look into using PP. Many of the killer features were commended and hardly a criticism voiced. Even basic features that have been part of PP for ages were praised for their easy and intuitive deployment.
I have been a dedicated user and promoter of PP for many years and a regular reader of PC Pro software reviews. Even so I was taken aback by this stunning review. | Another good PagePlus

UK magazine PCUtilities gives PPX2 the recommended stamp.
The review started by mentioning Serif's 20th anniversary. PPX2 was commended for making full use of the new Vista technologies and bursting with tools and features, capable of creating some impressive publications.
Also mentioned were the, context sensitive panels, improved templates and the ability to create HTML emails and multimedia PDF slide-shows.
The review ended by saying X2 has everything that a DTP user could need - there is no reason to pay more. |
